An Australian influencer has reached ‘breaking point’ after haters lashed her family’s efforts to raise money for her to have her breast implants removed.

Leila Stead, a self-described psychic and astrologist, is raising money to get her implants removed after she began to experience ‘extreme symptoms’ over a decade after the initial operation.

Her sister Elle, who started a GoFundMe page for the operation, revealed Leila was considering selling her car in order to pay for the upcoming breast explant surgery.

‘My sister is a single mum, feeling the pressure of the rising cost of living, experiencing debilitating symptoms limiting her ability to work, as a sole income earner for her family, understandably this has been incredibly stressful for her,’ Elle wrote.

‘She doesn’t want to do this GoFundMe, she’s began the process of selling her vehicle to pay for this surgery, but that will render her without transport when she lives 45 minutes from the nearest city/hospital.

‘Together we can help in the cause for her to have this lifechanging, and much needed explant surgery.

‘In the 24 hours since the fundraiser went live, Ms Stead has been forced to defend herself on social media after she was attacked by ‘relentless trolls’.

‘I have been trolled relentlessly all evening, spammed with the most disgusting and degrading DM’s,’ the influencer told her 40,000 followers on Tuesday.

‘As someone who is already struggling immensely, the consistent trolling and hate tirade defaming my name, slandering my name, abusing me and calling me all kinds of names, I have reached breaking point.

‘I can’t do this anymore, I can’t fight anymore, I can’t defend myself against this onslaught of hatred that’s continued for the last seven years. And for what? Why?

‘Because you hate me, you think I’m a bad person. Because I don’t support like any other human being? I don’t deserve the help?

Ms Stead said women targeted by similar hate campaigns had ‘killed themselves’ after years of constant abuse.

She told her followers she would be taking some time away from social media to focus on her mental health and her young daughter.

‘Thank you to those who donated I appreciate it so incredibly much,’ she wrote. ‘I’ll forever remember those of you who stood up for me, I hope one day I can do something for each of you but for now I need time.’

Ms Stead previously revealed her ‘polytech implants’ have the highest risk of breast implant associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma – a cancer which forms from the fluid and scar tissue near the implant.

‘I’ve had these implants since 2012 from a reputable and expensive plastic surgeon who didn’t tell me about the recall or the suspension of use of these implants,’ the psychic said, adding she had decided to get implants ‘on a whim’ in her 20s.

Ms Stead said her symptoms included a cold sensation in the right side of her brain, cold hands and feet, weight gain, hormonal cysts and uncontrollable tremors.

Leila’s sister said her family were worried the toxic ingredients inside the implants will cause her body to shut down or lead to a cancer diagnosis.

‘Time is of the essence, Leilas body is not coping with the toxic overload,’ she said.

‘It is required that the surgery is a complete capsulectomy as soon as possible.’

Ms Stead was met with criticism on social media after she compared Queensland’s Covid quarantine facilities to concentration camps in August 2021.
