FCCPC officials conducted this enforcement exercise in various parts of the nation’s capital.

This action is in direct response to consumer concerns regarding the escalating prices of goods, which contradict the recent strengthening of the naira against major currencies.

The Commission highlighted that discrepancies in pricing remain a significant issue and stressed consumers’ right to be informed about the prices of items they intend to purchase.

The FCCPC expressed concern about the continuous increase in prices of goods and services despite the appreciation of the naira against the dollar.

Adamu Abdullahi, the Commission’s acting Executive Vice Chairman/ Chief Executive Officer, stated on its social media handle on Wednesday that this situation is unacceptable, and the FCCPC is dedicated to safeguarding consumers from exploitation.
