The Duke of Sussex is set to revisit London for a Thanksgiving service scheduled for May 8th at St. Paul’s Cathedral, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which he established in 2014.

Additionally, according to a post shared by the official Instagram account of the Invictus Games on Sunday, actor Damian Lewis will also join the event.Top of Form

Alongside a throwback image of Prince Harry, 39, cheering on a competitor, the Invictus Games’ social media team penned: “The Invictus Games Foundation will celebrate 10 years of changing lives and saving lives with a Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8th.”

It continued: “We will be joined by our Patron, Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, actor Damian Lewis and members of the worldwide Invictus Community to mark the occasion.”

According to an official statement, Prince Harry will deliver a reading during the event, while actor Damian Lewis, renowned for his roles in Homeland and Band of Brothers, will recite the poem “Invictus.”

The gathering will also include representatives from various nations participating in the Invictus Games, comprising wounded, injured, and sick service personnel, along with veterans.

Additionally, community members, supporters, and beneficiaries have been chosen to present readings as part of the service, under the guidance of The Very Reverend Andrew Tremlett, Dean of St Paul’s.

Prince Harry established the Invictus Games with the aim of aiding the rehabilitation of injured and sick military personnel and veterans worldwide, offering them the opportunity to engage in sporting events akin to the Paralympics.
