Man LEFT his fatally wounded fiancee in wreckage of his crashed car - police is hunting him

Cameron Jones, 29, fled leaving fiancée Demi Mabbitt, 25, in wreckage of a crashed car after she was seriously injured.

At The Scene

Demi was in the front seat of Jones’s white Audi A3 when the car crashed in Swansea Road, Merthyr Tydfil on April 5 … no other vehicles were involved.

Meanwhile, Demi was found alive when rescuers got to the scene but unfortunately, she died a week later in hospital from her injuries.

Police Warn General Public

Police initially listed Jones as a missing person because they had evidence he was badly hurt in the crash, but have now re-listed him as a wanted man, who should not be approached by the public because he is known to be dangerous.

Jones’ mugshot

So far, police have arrested two people who harboured him and also warn general public not to help Jones as they could end up in court.

Statement From Police

Detective Sergeant Debbie Hobrough of South Wales Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: ‘We have been trying to locate Cameron Jones since the collision.

‘He is a dangerous individual – members of the public are advised not to approach Jones but to contact the police if they have any information which will help us find him.

‘A 30-year-old local man and a 29-year-old local woman have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

‘We will continue to make arrests should anyone else be suspected of assisting Jones in evading police.’

Jones’s mugshot from previous crimes has been issued by police who believe he is still in South Wales.
