Queen Maxima had a bustling week filled with public engagements, culminating in a visit to a school on Friday where she imparted a bit of her own teaching – particularly in the art of rocking leather culottes.

The Argentine-born Dutch royal, aged 52, showcased a stunning ensemble featuring waist-cinching culottes in a burgundy-brown hue. She paired this striking leather attire with the ‘Laura 85’ knee-high boots from the esteemed Italian brand Gianvito Rossi, boasting a block heel and rounded toe.

Adding to the glamorous aesthetic was a high-necked grey cashmere sweater, complemented by a mid-length cashmere and wool cape from Natan Couture’s collaboration with Alicia Audrey. No Queen Maxima ensemble is complete without a pair of Avant Garde earrings.
