The Executive Chairman of Igbo Etiti Local Government Area in Enugu State, Hon. Dr. Eric Ogbonna Odo, has appointed two Senior Special Assistants with unusual titles focused on local agriculture.
As revealed in appointment letters circulating on social media, Ezeugwu Frederick Ogbonna has been appointed Senior Special Assistant on Yam and Pepper, while Nwodo Everestus Ugonna has been appointed Senior Special Assistant on Garden Egg and Pepper.
The appointment letters state: “I am pleased to inform you that the Executive Chairman of Igbo Etiti LGA has approved your appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Local Government Chairman on Agriculture (Garden Egg & Pepper)” for Nwodo, and similarly for Ezeugwu: “I am pleased to inform you that the Executive Chairman of Igbo Etiti LGA has approved your appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Local Government Chairman on Agriculture (Yam & Pepper).”
In a separate statement, Odo outlined his ambitious vision for the area, aiming to administer the “most progressive local government area in sub-Saharan Africa.”
His mission is to create an efficient government system that respects, honors, and develops local communities within the available resources, and he pledged to make bold decisions to unlock the region’s human and natural resource potential.
