Conor McGregor's Fiancée Defends Him Against R*pe Accusation: "My Sons Will Be Warned Women Like You Exist"
Dee Devlin, Conor McGregor’s fiancée, has publicly defended the MMA fighter after he was found liable in a civil case involving the r*pe of Nikita Hand, 35. A High Court in Dublin awarded Hand €250,000 in damages, stemming from the December 9, 2018 incident at a Dublin hotel.
Four days after the court’s decision, Devlin shared a scathing Instagram post targeting Hand, accusing her of inappropriate behavior toward McGregor. In her post, Devlin wrote:
“My sons will be warned women like you exist in the world. Imagine a woman, with her own boyfriend and child, sending provocative pictures of herself to another woman’s man, knowing he has a family and child on the way.”
She further criticized Hand’s actions, accusing her of being on a “three-day bender” while neglecting her responsibilities at home.
Devlin also questioned Hand’s credibility, alleging the existence of CCTV footage that contradicts her claims. She wrote:
“CCTV DOES NOT LIE. I look forward to the day the world sees the footage of you that night, showing your behavior in the lift. To me, it looks like you’re the one being inappropriate, and everyone else is trying to avoid you.”
Devlin, McGregor’s partner of 15 years and the mother of their four children, accompanied him to court and supported him during the proceedings. She stated that the couple had privately addressed the issues in their relationship years ago and emerged stronger.
McGregor has vowed to appeal the court’s decision while expressing regret for his actions. In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), he admitted to making “mistakes,” saying:
“Six years ago, I should never have responded to her outreaches or stepped out on the woman I love most in the world. That’s on me. But everything that happened that night was consensual, and witnesses testified to that under oath.”
He added that he’s focused on moving forward and returning to his career, writing:
“I can’t change the past, but I’ll continue to fight for the truth. Getting back to the gym—the fight game awaits!”
