Pregnant Princess Beatrice Steps In For King Charles After Reports Of An Expanding Royal Role
Princess Beatrice made a public appearance earlier this week when she attended The King’s Foundation’s Future Textiles exhibition at the Garrison Chapel in London.
During the visit, the 36-year-old royal engaged with Education Director Jacqueline Farrell and met several students, alumni, and industry partners from the foundation’s courses.
Beatrice appeared comfortable and engaged, trying out various textile techniques such as smocking and embroidery.
The exhibition celebrates ten years of innovative textiles education, inspired by the Royal Founding President, His Majesty The King. The Future Textiles programme, which was launched by the monarch in 2014 at Dumfries House, aims to address a skills gap in the UK fashion and textiles sector.
So far, more than 7,000 people have benefited from the programme at various King’s Foundation locations, including Dumfries House, Highgrove Gardens, and Trinity Buoy Wharf.
For the occasion, Beatrice wore a chic black midi dress with gold buttons down the front, paired with a houndstooth coat and heeled leather boots. She styled her strawberry blonde hair loose, and enhanced her look with glossy pink lipstick and mascara.
Before leaving, Beatrice received a special poppy pin to commemorate Armistice Day, crafted by Sheena Spence, a member of the Sewing Bee at Dumfries House.
As speculation grows about her increasing royal duties, Beatrice has been more visible in public this year, including attending a garden party at Buckingham Palace and supporting Prince William during Princess Kate’s chemotherapy treatment.
As one of the King’s Counsellors of State, she can represent him in official matters such as signing documents and attending Privy Council meetings when necessary.
