The Duke Of Sussex To Embark On Solo Trip After Thanksgiving With The Duchess Of Sussex
Next week, the Sussexes will be on opposite coasts of the United States for solo engagements. A spokesperson confirmed that Prince Harry will join Andrew Ross Sorkin for a discussion at The New York Times DealBook Conference on December 4.
This will mark Harry’s second trip to New York in recent months, following his solo visit in September to participate in events for various patronages and charities.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex will attend the 2024 Paley Honors Fall Gala in Beverly Hills, California, on the same day. At the event, she will honor the Sussexes’ close friend, Tyler Perry, who will be recognized for his achievements in the entertainment industry.
Tyler Perry has played a significant role in the Sussexes’ lives, offering them his $15 million mansion in Beverly Hills when they first relocated to the US in 2020. They also asked him to be their daughter Lilibet’s godfather.
These separate trips follow Meghan’s announcement of their “low-key” Thanksgiving plans at their Montecito home, which she shared earlier this week. In recent months, the couple has been focusing on their individual projects within their Archewell organization.
Harry briefly returned to the UK in September for the WellChild Awards before traveling to South Africa and Lesotho to support Sentebale, the charity he co-founded. Last week, he also visited Canada to promote the upcoming Invictus Games in 2025, while Meghan attended the launch of her friend Kadi Lee’s haircare line in LA.
A source previously shared that Harry and Meghan always planned to pursue “solo ventures” while continuing their shared focus on the Archewell Foundation. “Harry and Meghan have consistently pursued individual projects aligned with their personal interests but remain committed to their joint efforts through Archewell,” the source said. “Together, they have exciting initiatives in the works that will further their mission for positive global impact.”
Fans are eagerly awaiting news of Meghan’s upcoming Netflix cooking show and the launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. Additionally, the Duke and Duchess are executive producers of the Netflix series Polo, which is set to premiere on December 10.
