16-Year-Old Girl Faces Murder Charge In Death Of 51-Year-Old Homeless Man

A 16-year-old girl has been charged with the murder of a 51-year-old homeless man, following an attack at Kings Cross Station.

Anthony Marks died after being assaulted on Cromer Street on Saturday, August 10.

The teenager, from Brixton in South London, is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court later today to face the charge.

Marks, who was homeless, was believed to have been sheltering in a bin shed at the time of the attack.

A 17-year-old boy from Dagenham was arrested on October 4 and charged two days later in connection with the murder. He has been remanded in custody and is set to stand trial next year.

The Metropolitan Police are still unable to locate Marks’s family and have launched an appeal to find them.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, stated in October, “While someone has been charged, our investigation is ongoing with several active leads. Despite our efforts, we have been unable to identify Anthony’s next of kin, and we urge anyone who can assist to contact us.”

She also appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident but has not yet spoken to the police to come forward, particularly those who tried to help Anthony at the scene.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the incident room at 0208 358 0300, dial 101, or reach out to the police via X.
