Donald Trump On CEOS And Political Shifts: 'Everybody Wants To Be My Friend'

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, now president-elect, remarked that many of his former adversaries are now eager to align with him as he prepares for his second term in office.

Speaking at his first press conference since winning the election as the 47th President of the United States, Trump reflected on the stark contrast between his initial term eight years ago and the current political climate.

“During my first term, everyone was fighting me. Now, everybody wants to be my friend,” Trump quipped during the event held at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

When asked about his recent meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook, Trump suggested a noticeable shift in attitudes.

“I don’t know, maybe my personality changed or something,” he joked, adding that he is also scheduled to meet Amazon founder Jeff Bezos soon, signaling renewed interest from major business leaders.

Addressing the indictment of New York City Mayor Eric Adams on bribery and fraud charges earlier this year, Trump hinted at the possibility of granting a pardon. “I think he was treated pretty unfairly,” he commented.

Trump also touched on concerns about recent drone sightings, assuring the public that the U.S. military has significant knowledge about the incidents.

“The government knows what is happening. Our military knows where they took off from, where they came from, and where they went. For some reason, they don’t want to comment,” he said.

The press conference highlighted Trump’s confidence in navigating both political and business relationships as he prepares for his return to the White House.
