King Charles Made A Solo Appearance In Sandringham Church Service

Braving the rain, the monarch, 76, carried a smart navy umbrella with a traditional crook handle and wore his signature camel-colored coat, paired with a striped tie and suede brogues to keep warm in the December chill.

While King Charles usually attends church with Queen Camilla, he made the outing alone this time as the Queen continues her recovery from a chest infection.

The 77-year-old monarch first showed symptoms after returning from a tour of Australia and Samoa in October.

Her health concerns led her to withdraw from Remembrance events in November and skip several major engagements, including the Royal Variety Performance last Friday.

Doctors have advised Queen Camilla to rest as she deals with lingering post-viral symptoms.

A Buckingham Palace statement noted, “Following a recent chest infection, the Queen continues to experience some lingering post-viral symptoms, and doctors have advised her to prioritise rest after a busy week of engagements.”

Although Camilla is recovering, the symptoms of chest infections can persist, and medical advice has cautioned against overstretching herself.

Despite her health, she attended a prestigious diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace on November 19, looking stunning in a blue velvet evening dress by Fiona Clare, complemented by the aquamarine ribbon tiara, once owned by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The Queen’s decision to take medical advice highlights the importance of recovery, with her health remaining the top priority during this period.
