Man with World's Largest Thumb Reveals Struggles of Using Cellphone

Jacob Pina, a 25-year-old from Massachusetts, has gone viral for his five-inch thumb, one of the largest in the world, which has earned him millions of followers on YouTube.

While his thumb has made him an internet sensation, it has also created challenges in everyday tasks, especially when it comes to using his cellphone.

At five inches long when fully stretched, his right thumb is just slightly shorter than the six-inch iPhone 16.

In a recent TikTok video, he demonstrated how he stretches his thumb to scroll through social media, shocking viewers with the extreme reach. The video, which has garnered hundreds of thousands of views, left many viewers confused and questioning whether it was edited or if the stretch caused any pain.

One commenter said, “This makes me physically uncomfortable,” while another asked, “Is it some sort of condition that causes this, or is it edited?” A third comment read, “You don’t understand how confused I am,” and one person joked, “Bro, this is a sword.”

In another video, Jacob compared his thumb to an average-sized one, showing it to be about three times longer.

Around 10% of Americans have hypermobile joints, which are highly flexible, but doctors have no explanation for Jacob’s unique case.

While hypermobility can sometimes be linked to genetic disorders, Jacob confirmed he doesn’t have any health conditions to explain the extraordinary length of his thumb.
