Megan Thee Stallion Files Restraining Order Against Tory Lanez For Alleged Psychological Harassment
Rapper Megan Thee Stallion has filed a restraining order against Tory Lanez, alleging ongoing harassment despite his imprisonment. Lanez, currently serving a 10-year sentence in California for shooting Megan in the feet in 2020, is accused of orchestrating a campaign of defamation against her through bloggers.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Megan claims Lanez has been directing defamatory actions via bloggers, including Elizabeth Milagro Cooper, whom Megan sued in October for allegedly promoting deepfake pornographic content about her.
The new filing alleges that prison phone logs reveal a “conspiratorial relationship” between Lanez and Cooper, with discussions about payments for harassing Megan.
Megan also asserts that Lanez and his father coordinated efforts to discredit her, with financial records reportedly showing payments totaling $3,000 to Cooper between October 2020 and March 2022.
This alleged harassment, described as “psychological warfare,” has reportedly caused Megan significant emotional distress, leading her to file for a restraining order to stop Lanez and his associates from further actions.
In an amended complaint related to her lawsuit against Cooper, Megan’s legal team accused Lanez of conspiring to amplify false narratives and baseless theories to retaliate against her. The complaint states that this coordinated effort has caused Megan severe emotional harm.
In October, Megan filed a lawsuit against Cooper, accusing her of acting as a “mouthpiece and puppet” for Lanez. Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, claimed Cooper conducted a public campaign to “denigrate, belittle, and spread false statements” about Megan, including sharing an altered pornographic video depicting the rapper.
In a statement, Megan said, “It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying, and misinformation about my personal and professional life. This unacceptable behavior has consequences.”
Lanez was sentenced in August 2023 for the 2020 shooting incident, which occurred after a heated argument following a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s house.
