Actress Skai Jackson Files Restraining Order Against Baby Daddy, Alleges Abuse Including Mother’s Day Assault And Threats During Pregnancy
Skai Jackson has reportedly filed for a restraining order against Deondre Burgin, the father of her three-month-old son, Kasai, citing a history of physical abuse.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the 23-year-old actress alleges that Burgin has been abusive for over a year, with the most recent violent incident occurring on Mother’s Day, May 12.
Skai claims that during an altercation while holding their infant son, Burgin grabbed her by the hair, slammed her head against a car window, and punched her in the face.
Jackson also details months of abuse throughout 2024, including weekly attacks involving choking, scratching, and head trauma. She further accuses Burgin of damaging her personal property, such as a television and her iPhone.
The filings reveal disturbing allegations from her pregnancy, where Skai says Burgin once demanded she drink bleach to terminate the pregnancy and threatened her with a knife, warning he would stab her in the stomach if she called for help.
In one harrowing incident last summer, she reportedly locked herself in a bathroom to escape him, but Burgin punched through the door, dragged her out, slammed her against the wall, and choked her until she lost breath. Skai claims to have video evidence of this assault.
At the time of Kasai’s birth in January, Burgin was serving a 90-day jail term for a parole violation and was arrested again last month on an outstanding warrant.
Fearing for her and her son’s safety, Skai is requesting the court to impose a restraining order keeping Burgin at least 100 yards away from her, Kasai, and her dog. She is also seeking legal child support, coverage of attorney fees, and an order requiring Burgin to undergo domestic violence treatment.
