On the evening of June 4, the Grammy-winning singer, 32, stepped out in a floor-length, sheer black gown featuring a plunging neckline—boldly going braless and pairing the look with black underwear beneath the transparent fabric.

Cyrus styled her curly brunette locks in a tousled updo and completed her edgy ensemble with designer sunglasses. Fans eagerly greeted her as she exited a black SUV, taking time to sign autographs and snap selfies before heading into a nearby building, accompanied by a bodyguard.

Something Beautiful, released May 30, is Cyrus’s ninth studio album and marks what she calls the start of her “psychedelic” music phase. The record has received mixed reviews: Rolling Stone gave it four out of five stars, while Pitchfork critiqued it as “directionless and thematically vague.”
