Linc Edochie Praises Brother Yul For Inspiring His Return To Nollywood, Saying, “Blood Is Thicker Than Water”

Veteran Nollywood actor Linc Edochie has taken to social media to celebrate his younger brother, Yul Edochie, in a heartfelt tribute that has quickly gained attention online.

In a candid Instagram post, Linc shared how Yul played a pivotal role in encouraging him to return to the film industry after a long hiatus. Despite the controversies that have surrounded Yul in recent years, Linc made it clear that family — and talent — deserve to be recognized.

“Blood is thicker than water,” Linc wrote. “A lot of people don’t know this, but it was my brother Yul who encouraged me to return to Nollywood in 2015 after a long break.”

Although Linc initially delayed his comeback due to procrastination, he eventually heeded Yul’s advice in 2020 — a decision he says changed everything.

“Some of the things I now do in movies, he taught me,” Linc added. “Yul is a trained theatre professional. I’ve always had a passion for acting, but he brought structure and mentorship to it.”

He ended the post with high praise, calling Yul one of Nigeria’s finest talents: “Love him or hate him, this man remains one of the greatest actors and filmmakers in this country. Ezedike @yuledochie, mmuo ka I bu (you are a spirit). God bless you always.”

The emotional message has sparked reactions across social media, particularly in light of Yul’s recent controversies involving his personal life and public image. For Linc, however, those issues don’t overshadow his brother’s impact on the industry — or his life.

“Blood is blood,” one user commented. “Despite everything, this was such a mature and heartfelt post.”

Another added, “People forget Yul’s talent because of the noise around him. This is a reminder of who he really is.”

With this public show of support, Linc Edochie not only reaffirms his loyalty to family but also shines a light on the often-overlooked contributions of his brother to Nollywood’s legacy.
