Reality TV personality Hayley Vernon has revealed she has permanently left her lucrative OnlyFans career behind after embracing Christianity and becoming “born again” in 2024.

Best known from the seventh season of Married At First Sight Australia on E4, Vernon rose to fame with her bold personality and candid views. Following her reality TV success, she made over £1.1 million through adult content on OnlyFans and briefly worked as a high-paid escort, charging £600 an hour.

Now 32 and a former finance broker from Melbourne, Vernon says she has turned her back on that lifestyle to pursue a new path rooted in Christian faith. She marked this transformation with a public baptism in a lake, sharing the moment with her social media followers.

Quoting Jeremiah 29:11, Vernon posted, “Yesterday I was born again in my faith, making a public declaration to the outside world based on the inward transformation I have experienced through finding Christ. My relationship with my faith has changed every aspect of my life.”

The shift has prompted her not only to quit content creation but also to shed the image she once embraced. Vernon is now selling off her expensive lingerie collection, which she calls a symbol of her past. “I used to think lingerie and dressing a certain way would make me feel empowered. It didn’t—it did the opposite,” she explained, assuring fans the items are all clean and well cared for.

On the MAFS Funny podcast, Vernon opened up about the psychological strain of her previous work, saying it blurred the lines between her true self and the persona she portrayed. “You start acting so much and becoming this character that isn’t you, that you actually forget to be you… you just don’t have a firm foundation anymore,” she admitted.

Her spiritual awakening came after a turbulent period both personally and publicly. On MAFS Australia, she was involved in one of the show’s most notorious moments when her partner, David Cannon, was caught scrubbing a toilet with her toothbrush after she kissed fellow contestant Michael Goonan. The couple was subsequently removed from the show by the experts.

Today, Vernon credits her newfound faith with bringing clarity, peace, and purpose. “There aren’t enough words to explain the transformative goodness of God. It’s absolutely by far the best thing that’s happened to me,” she reflected. “Letting go and being challenged hasn’t been easy—but I’ve come out better for it.”
