7 people rushed to hospital for 'inhalation symptoms' at Airport after 'ODOR' complaint was reported

Seven were hospitalized with inhalation symptoms following a possible odor of jet fuel on an aircraft, with no readings for ‘anything else.’

The incident which occured on Friday, June 27, at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina left several airline and airport employees transported to a local hospital for ‘inhalation symptoms of an unknown substance from an aircraft,’ according to the Mecklenburg Emergency Medical Services Agency, also known as Medic.

Luckily, the seven individuals only suffered ‘minor injuries’ and are in stable condition, per the health organization.

When contacted for comment, a spokesperson for the airline confirmed that ‘an odor was reported’ on flight 2055 ‘prior to customers boarding’ on June 27.

The flight 2055 to Los Angeles was cancelled and the aircraft was taken out of service to be inspected by maintenance team.
