Ohio Man Allegedly Orchestrated Pregnant Girlfriend’s Murder On Her Due Date—After Requesting Bereavement Leave
A 30-year-old Ohio man has been indicted for allegedly orchestrating the murder of his pregnant girlfriend on the day she was due to give birth—just days after requesting bereavement leave from his employer to mourn her death.
Kayvon Warren is accused of conspiring with two acquaintances, Robert Ervin, 20, and Lamar Morris Suggs, 22, to carry out the killing of India Kinamore, 26, in her Colerain Township home on March 4, 2023, according to Hamilton County prosecutors.
“This Should Have Been the Happiest Day of Her Life”
Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich announced a 13-count indictment against the trio, describing the case as both chilling and heartbreaking.
“This should have been one of the happiest days of India’s life,” Pillich said in a statement. “Instead, the father of the child conspired with two others to kill her. It’s heartbreaking. My office will see that justice is done for both India and her baby.”
Premeditation and Motive
According to investigators, Warren had been pressuring Kinamore to terminate the pregnancy, citing financial struggles and a relationship with another woman. At the time, he was homeless and allegedly sought a way out of his responsibilities.
In a disturbing detail, prosecutors revealed that Warren had already asked his employer for time off to grieve Kinamore’s death—before the murder even took place.
On the morning of March 4, the day Kinamore was due to deliver their child, the suspects allegedly broke into her home around 6 a.m., planning to stage the killing as a botched burglary. All three are accused of fleeing the scene after fatally shooting the young mother-to-be.
Investigation and Charges
A joint investigation by the Colerain Police Department and Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office involved extensive interviews, as well as deep dives into financial and phone records. The effort ultimately led to the indictment of all three suspects last week.
Warren, Ervin, and Suggs have each been charged with:
- Aggravated murder
 - Aggravated burglary
 - Felonious assault

Ervin and Suggs face additional weapons charges.
Current Status and Possible Sentences
According to court records:
- Kayvon Warren is being held without bond at the county jail.
 - Robert Ervin is in custody on $300,000 bail.
 - Bail conditions for Lamar Morris Suggs were not immediately disclosed.
